Momentum: the impetus and driving force gained by the development of a process or course of events. I cannot think of a better word to describe the year 2021 for Peace Hills Insurance. It was a year chock full of achievements and growth amidst uncertainties and adversities, culminating in our best underwriting results in the company’s history. We finished 2021 with a total comprehensive income of $23.3M, which together with a strong balance sheet and sustained trend of profitability, helped us upgrade our AM Best financial strength rating to a B++ (Stable Outlook). The process and course of events leading up to this moment was tumultuous at times, but with such a dedicated group of employees, loyal broker partners and a forward-thinking Board of Directors, it feels as though anything is possible for this once “little company that could”. The future is looking bright for Peace Hills, and as President and CEO, I am so thankful to be part of the evolution of this company and to witness the realization of the fruits of our efforts. The momentum we are experiencing will carry us through the next stages of our company’s growth.
